Sacred Fire Teaching Methods Sacred Fire workshop and coaching materials are based on perennial principles that identify a deeper, broader and unified sense of the world. This form of experiential learning and coaching increases your sensitivity to your own energy and inner dynamics, allowing space and safety for your deeper nature to reveal itself. It supports you in slowing down, becoming aware, sensitive and comfortable with your own true nature. Some of the variety of methods used are: ArtArt has been used since the beginning of time as a means of expression for the human spirit. Art is used in exactly the same way with experiential coaching. It is a fun and powerful way to express the things that go beyond words Mandala DrawingThis is a specific form of representational art and is usually done within a circle. The circle shape creates a focused container for the image. These drawings are a form of contemplation and are used for integration after a piece of expressive coaching has been experienced. SymbolsWorking with symbols (usually small figurines) is a powerful way to free the psyche to create and transfer its awareness to the conscious mind. In exploring the meanings we have for a symbol we are digging deeper into the psyche to discover sources of meaning, truth and inspiration that lie there for us. JournalingThis is a profoundly simple, yet incredibly powerful method of self observation. When journaling you are working in a private world that is truthful and open to no one else but yourself. Journals are private records of your experience that teach you to connect the outer events in your life with your inner reactions. As you practice writing your self observations in a journal you are sharpening your ability to learn, self correct, understand, forgive and be creative with your life experiences. GestaltGestalt Psychology is used in experiential coaching as a means of identifying unresolved states of being. It stresses the importance of the here and now and the integration of fragmented parts of the personality. It focuses on the role of unfinished business from the past in preventing effective functioning in the present.
